NIGEL MELKER TO TEST OCEAN RACING FIRST DAY OF GP2 TESTING DAYS IN BARCELONA.

Breda 17 October - Former GP3 Series race-winner Nigel Melker will continue its positive flow with Ocean Racing Technology.  The Dutch driver whom is supported by HWA Mercedes made a very good impression during his first drive with the GP2 car at the track of Jerez with team Arden by going third quickest in the official test last month.  The race-winner in the GP3 Series and in the F3 Euroseries this year will test the first day of GP2 testing days at the Catalonian track with team Ocean Racing Technology.  Nigel will test the second day with team iSport. 

Nigel Melker is very optimistic for this chance on one of his favorite circuits, on which he hopes to perform well.  “I am very enthusiastic and happy about the chance I have been given by the team,“ declared the Dutchman, “Last month at the GP2 test at Jerez I had a good experience with the car and it was at the end of the day more easy to adapt and to get hold of this powerful car. The main difference for me is the handling of the tires, but that remains just a matter of time.  The team is very professional and I know I can count on their skills to support me best during this time.  I trained very well to be physically ready for the 2 days of testing.  I would like to thank the team and especially Tiago Monteiro and Jose Guedes for this excellent opportunity.”
